About Department
As a branch of Social Science in the faculty of Humanities, Economics is an important department in Smt. RDG College for Women, Akola. The Economics Department started with the establishment of the college in 1965. Since 17-12-1979 Dr. S. K. Mankar had been working as the Head of the Department of Economics. In 27-08-1981, Dr. Y.P. Singh was joined to the department. After this, in 31-08-2014 Dr. Sulochana Mankar was retired and the charge of Head of the Department was handed over to Dr Y P Singh.
In 28-02-2017 Dr. Y P Singh joined as Principal, at Murtizapur. Since then Dr. Nitin Chaudhari and Mr. Avinash Sable have been joined to the department on Clock Hour Basis.
