About Department

The Department of Commerce was established in 1984 and offering regular three year full time Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), Master in Commerce (M.Com) and Ph.D. Programmes. Its Academic programmes are designed to develop Professional excellence in Business, Management and Skills as relevant to the emerging era of Liberalization and Information Technology. These Programmes were initiated with a mission to Produce competent girl students and researchers to set high standards in the industry and society.Department has also taken initiative to run various Career Oriented Courses like Certificate Programme in Banking,Finance and Insurance and Certificate Programme in Self-learning and Business Communication Skills. Department is also running some Computer based modules which includes Tally (MSBTE), Ms-Office, Internet and DTP as well as Certificate course in Banking & Insurance. Apart from this department has Ph.D Research Centre with specialization of Commerce and Business Economics.
