As a branch of Social Science in the faculty of Humanities, Economics is an important department in Smt. Radhadevi Goenka College for Women, Akola. The Economics Department started with the establishment of the college in 1965. Since 17-12-1979 Dr. S. K. Mankar had been working as the Head of the Department of Economics. On 27-08-1981, Dr. Y. P. Singh joined the department. After this, on 31-08-2014 Dr. Sulochana Mankar was retired and the charge of Head of the Department was handed over to Dr Y. P. Singh. In 28-02-2017 Dr. Y. P. Singh joined as Principal, at Murtizapur. From 20 Sept.2019, Dr. Ntiin D. Chaudhari has been appointed as Assistant Professor & Head of Department.
