Home Economics was started in 1965 as an optional subject during P.U.C. and grew to Degree and Post Graduate level. It was due to keen efforts of late Smt. Mukherjee [Principal] and Smt. Mahajani [H.O.D] who ensured that the stream is well equipped with all requisite facilities in Laboratory so as to impart the best of skills. The present strength has since its inception grown to 465 Highly qualified faculty members having NET/SET/Ph.D/M.Phil degrees work jointly as a strong Attention is given to each and every student in gaining knowledge and proficiency in the subject.
