About Department

Smt. Radhadeviji Goenka popularly known as “Mataji” renowned social worker for women of this region made a humble beginning in the field of education for women by establishing the college in her name in 1965. Our college is affiliated to Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati. The college is run by Bharatiya Seva Sadan, Akola

  • 1. Main objective of library is the collection and preservation of books and Knowledge resources.
  • 2. To purchase latest published books, Journals and Electronic Information tools i.e. Audio, Video, DVD, CD, and Floppy etc.
  • 3. To add good number of books and periodicals relevant for their Subjects.
  • 4. To inculcate the reading habits among the readers.
  • 5. To provide the reference, bibliography and technical services.
  • 6. To organize book exhibition and competitions.

  • 1. Use of vacuum cleaner to remove dust from books and racks three times in a week.
  • 2. The library has also made a provision of BHC powder which is sprinkled over the racks to prevent from the termite.
  • 3. In case of out break of fire, the library has facility of fire extinguisher.
Future planning
  • 1. To make central library Wi-Fi for users.
  • 2. To construct first floor as reading room.
  • 3. To start bar-coding of books and reading material.
